I have used Lessons In Your Home for about a month now for piano lessons. The teacher Anna is amazing. Her disposition is very compassionate and you can tell she has a passion to teach. My daughter is 6 years old, has ADHD and can be difficult to keep on task. Anna is a master at getting her attention back on track to the lesson and does it in such a calm way. My two daughters have really enjoyed their lessons with Joe! What a bonus that along with being very talented, kind, polite, fun and patient that he can teach both of them back to back knowing both ukulele as well as trumpet (as well as several other instruments)! He's been easy to communicate with and very amenable to schedule changes as well. My girls are eager to please him but they are also starting to love the progress they are making and learn the joys of slowly mastering something thru practice and discipline. Not many folks out there could teach an 11 AND a restless 6 year old two totally different instruments (and reading music) from the ground up! My daughter is now in high school and he really helped foster her love for music, which has helped her come out of her shell as she's grown older. I'm a piano tuner and tune around 18-25 pianos weekly. Many of my customers are students of Lessons In Your Home. It's amazing how often I hear about how wonderful their teachers are. I did a tuning for one of my regulars this morning. Although I have known him for several years, he only in the last 6 months started taking lessons again. He is a changed person! He couldn't stop complimenting his teacher! He was eager to show me all the improvements he has made in his technique and expressed the new found joy his teacher has shared with him. I also notice how the kids seem to be sticking with it. The LIYH music folders on their pianos stay the same but year after year the books and music keep getting more challenging and the "post tuning concerts" more enjoyable.
