About Yun Oh
Yun is an experienced piano teacher. She studied piano and music composition in private lessons, at University in her home country and at University of Washington. She has over 10 years of experience in professional piano playing and teaching.
In her middle and high school, she worked as a piano accompanist in music classes and in the school choir competitions. She began her teaching piano career when she was in high school at a private music academy. She taught various genres of music: classical, hymn, gospel songs, Western pop, K-pop, movie/drama OST, and New Age music to students of all ages and any level. She also performed piano solo in various places of performance.
Yun is very patient, dedicated, and adaptable. Her teaching philosophy is flexibility. She believes that each individual has different learning styles. It's important to learn and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student and adapt to it without compromising their talent and excellence in music.
Her goal in teaching music is for students to enjoy playing piano and to have a strong music foundation. She truly cares about each and every one of her students. She'll be happy to share her knowledge and experience with LIYH students and support them to improve their ability, potential and skills in music!
