About Taner Clark
Taner Clark was born and raised in Colorado. Growing up outside Boulder, he developed his love for music at a very young age. From spending hours listening to his dad's old records to banging on anything he could turn into a drum, it was clear he had a passion for music. From the first time he saw a drum set, he knew his calling. At the age of ten, he got his first drum set. He cut his teeth in band class and continued playing in the Jazz band through high school and beyond, learning under Zina Richardson, Pete Lewis, Claire Church, and Paul Romaine among others.
After studying music and mastering his craft for over a decade; he began offering his skills and passion to local bands. Taner formed a band with a few close friends. They played for years together, playing hundreds of shows and festivals, meeting fellow musicians, and sharing their love of music. Since leaving the band, he's spent the past years playing with dozens of other bands and musicians while offering lessons to whoever wants to learn.
Beyond his passion for music, Taner has an equal passion to pass that love and passion for music on to his students. He believes in every student's potential to not only learn how to play but also develop a true passion and joy for music! When he's not busy playing music, he loves hanging out with his friends, especially his best buddy, his dog. Or, you can always find him enjoying the beautiful outdoors, biking around Denver, or playing hockey.
