About Stephen Nettles
Stephen Nettles is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter from Orlando, Florida. He began playing guitar while in high school in 2007 and quickly became involved with several church bands. He completed a School of Worship in 2010 before beginning college.
Stephen graduated from Rollins College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music where he studied both voice and mandolin and focused specifically on early music and folk music (especially bluegrass and Celtic music). During that time he also sang with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Choir.
Since 2011 he has performed with several bands around Central Florida including his own band, The Voiceless, for which he serves as songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist. He also tours nationally with country artist Eli Mosely. He has performance experience as a singer in musical theater, classical vocals (including early music), bluegrass, Celtic music, rock/alternative, metal/hardcore, and contemporary church music. As a guitarist and mandolin player he has performance experience in rock/alternative, metal/hardcore, bluegrass, country, Celtic music, pop, and contemporary church music.
In 2017 Stephen took over as the director for Lessons in Your Home Orlando which has allowed him to further advance his passion for education and training the next generation of musicians.
