About Sogol Golafshan

Sogol has always had a deep love for music. She started playing the violin when she was 9 in her home country, Iran. Since then, she has spent many years studying music, including gaining experience with violin, voice, music theory, and solfege. She has performed in the Isfahan Orchestra, the Arpa Orchestra, and in various recitals featuring duet, quartet and solo performances. Her greatest passion is sharing the gift of music with her students. As a child, she learned to play the violin through the Suzuki method. In recent years, she continued her violin lessons through the Russian method, which has had a big impact on the way she teaches. Sogol also has a Bachelors degree in biomedical engineering.

Sogol is deeply committed to helping her students enjoy, understand and express music in real life. She enjoys teaching student of all ages and abilities. She takes a patient approach with her students, and she makes sure each student has an understanding of each lesson's material. While teaching the violin, she also incorporates music theory and Solfege. She also enjoys the recital preparation process, and teaching her students to have a confident stage presence.
