About Samuel Calhoon
Sam Calhoon, Guitar and Cello teacher attended Willamette University in Salem, OR, where he earned a B.A. in sociology with a minor in music. Throughout his time there, he took private cello lessons with Dr. Hekun Wu, played cello in the university chamber orchestra, and participated in small ensemble groups and in pit orchestras for the university's musical theater performances. While working towards his music minor, he gained a solid foundation of music theory, aural skills, and more.
Sam is also an experienced and dedicated guitarist, and currently plays bass guitar in an active Seattle rock band that is serious about recording and performing their music. Music is his passion, and he loves sharing this passion with his students.
