About Porsche Parcher
Featured on the front page of the Tampa Tribune, Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance graduate Porsche Parcher is a force to be reckoned with. Under the tutelage of Julliard graduate, Dr. Carolyn Stuart of the University of South Florida, she received a scholarship to the prestigious Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival where she worked with renowned international faculty.
She has performed in such venues as Carnegie Hall, and the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas. Porsche is a musician of versatile nature. She enjoys improvisation, jazz tunes, hip hop, hymns, spirituals, classical works, and other works in various genres. She is highly spirited, passionate, and utterly professional. Porsche has performed as soloist and chamber musician in many weddings, parties, and other events.
Not only passionate for the music itself, Porsche has a heart to inspire youth in all things music. She has been teaching piano and violin for the past 10 years. She says her greatest moment is watching the music come alive in a child. There is something special about taking a student with little to no knowledge of music, and lifting them to reach greater heights. Note reading and rhythms are the foundation of musical theory. Those things are the basics of what should be grasped. It's the musicality, the expression, the soul of the music that students are able to create that drives her passion for the art of teaching.
Each lesson is crafted to the individual and unique student's needs. Lessons are fun, engaging, encouraging, and of course musical! It is important that student's master a concept before moving on to a more difficult one. Efficiency, fun, and growth in skill set are the main goals in each lesson. Teacher/student and teacher/parent relationships are crucial to the student's success in learning an instrument. Parents play a great role in encouraging student progress.
Porsche looks forward to meeting you and your family and making musical memories together!
