About Paola Garcia
Raised and born in Valencia, Venezuela, Paola Begun her musical journey at 13 years old with the Sinfonica Infantil Mozart under Double bass Professor Marian Castro's guidance. In 2018 Paola became part of the orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil de Carabobo's double bass section, and one year later she won the double bass section principal position.
In 2009, Paola becomes student of Maestro Felix Petit, in the Academia Latino Americana de Contrabajo bajo. Later in 2010 after a national audition process, she is selected as double bass assistant of Orquesta Sinfonica Infantil de Venezuela.
Paola has participated in Masterclass with Maestros Klaus Stoll, Ofelia Calva, Edicson Ruiz, Eugene Levinson, Jeff Bradettich, Luis Gomez Imbert, and Matt Bonelli.
She has been associated with multiple orchestras as a permanent and guest performer for national and worldwide tours such as Sinfonica Juvenil de Caracas, Orquesta Teresa Carreno and Sinfonica Simon Bolivar the Venezuela.
Paola has worked with children's and Youth orchestra Double bass sections locally and around many cities in Venezuela, as an instructor for groups, workshops during National Festivals organized by La Academia Latino Americana de Contrabajo and El Sistema and teaching and introducing the fantastic world of music to children from ages 6 to 14.
Currently, Paola is the assistant to the principal of the Miami Symphony Orchestra's double bass section.
