About Nicholas Wong
Nicholas grew up in Hong Kong, and started teaching himself to play at age seven. He found music inspired him in many ways and motivated him to start reading about music and musicians on his own with the help of a pocket size English dictionary.
It wasn't too long until Nick was able to play Bach's "Partitas" prior to taking any formal lessons. He met his piano teacher when he was 15. He had spent five enjoyable years with her to studying varieties of classical music. His teacher was pianist from the Eastman School of Music. The works of Beethoven have been the most influential ones for him.
Nicholas was a high school science teacher after he graduated from university. He started teaching piano part-time in 2000. He had taught students of age from 5 to 20 with different skill levels of piano. In 2004, he moved to America and started to playing organ. He has worked as a professional church organist and has played the keyboard for contemporary worship bands.
