About Megan Ferrari
Megan Thalía Ferrari is a classically trained singer from the Houston area. In addition to her classical background, Megan enjoys cross-training in various other genres such as: musical theater, pop, and jazz. She has performed in various opera productions with the Moores Opera Center such as The Love For Three Oranges by Prokofiev, L'amico Fritz by Mascagni, and Douglas Moore's The Ballad of Baby Doe. In 2019, Megan had the opportunity to perform abroad in Valencia, Spain with Boston Conservatory's Opera Intensive Program.
She has also performed in large choral works such as Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and Sergei Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky with Moores Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Ferrari graduated from the University of Houston Moores School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Voice with teacher certification. She is certified to teach music for grades K-12 in the state of Texas and has played piano for over a decade.
In her four years of teaching voice lessons and piano lessons, her students have gone to perform all around Houston and have been accepted into TUTS Academy, HSPVA, and Berklee College of Music. When she's not teaching her students, you can find her performing all around the Houston area and abroad or enjoying a latte at one of Houston's unique coffee shops!
