Originally a Colorado native, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina for university and graduated with a Music Minor from the College of Charleston. Additionally, Maggie performed with the College of Charleston Concert Choir, and was part of a competitive co-ed a cappella choir. Within Denver, Maggie has focused her efforts on songwriting and recording, performing at various open mics, volunteering and teaching music with the Youth on Record Open Lab, and performing the National Anthem for local sporting events such as Rockies and Rapids games.
Maggie is excited to bring her passion for music to students of all ages, and to help make the learning process a positive and influential experience. She believes in music as a significant and powerful feature of our lives, and that learning how to understand and make music can be one of the most rewarding experiences for all of us. Maggie promotes the belief that we all learn in different ways and at different paces, but music is something we can all be capable of if we want to. She strives to make learning piano and vocal technique approachable for her students.
Outside of music, Maggie enjoys film and photography, traveling, outdoor adventures, and exercise. She dabbles in guitar for songwriting purposes, and would also like to learn to play the drums.
