About Leanna Butler
Born in Illinois, Leanna began studying the piano at age 6 and violin at age 8. She continued her education with violin attending the University of North Texas concentrating in music education. Wanting a change in her life, Leanna then decided that she wanted to pursue the viola. She is now studying at the University of North Texas shifting her focus to viola performance studying with Dr. Daphne Gerling. Currently in her third year of undergraduate studies, Leanna wants to further her education in viola by getting a masters in chamber music. Leanna is very passionate about music and believes that taking lessons should be interactive and fun.
