About Joshua Albert

Joshua Albert began playing Drums and Piano at the age of 7, eventually competing in competitions and winning spots in All-State festivals and State Solo and Ensemble. The part of music that got Josh sparked was the creativity and uniqueness involved in performing and improvising for his family members. He went on to study percussion at Stetson University and eventually completing Graduate School at University of Central Florida in 2017 winning top spots in Ensembles and working as a recording engineer for the school. In lessons, Josh focuses on getting the students to find their unique strengths and provides the tools for them to be able to explore them outside of practice and lessons, making music both fun and rewarding over time. His approach to music revolves around setting goals and getting students to feel like they can explore the instrument themselves, pushing students to become all around musicians and problem solvers.

Joshua currently serves as the adjunct Professor of Percussion at Seminole State University as well as the head Timpanist for the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra while freelancing around Central Florida as a versatile musician. Josh spends much of his time composing music for film and video games completing works for institutions like Duke University, and AudioJungle . In his free time, Joshua enjoys jet skiing, video games, and cooking foreign cuisine for his friends and family.
