About Jose Villafuerte
José Villafuerte is a gifted Guitarist, Music Producer/Engineer, Composer, and Instructor based out of Orlando, Florida. Passionate about blues, soul, gospel, pop, tropical, and jazz, he feels that playing an instrument is one of the best ways to express emotions and feelings to the outside world.
From Ecuador, Jose's musical endeavors first began with the guitar at 8 years old with a personal music teacher at home. A few years later he started his musical training in the jazz/blues world when he was 17 years old at UCSG University in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In his 20's Jose moved to Orlando, Florida, to attend Full Sail University, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Recording Arts.
Since then Jose has been involved in the music industry performing, teaching, producing, composing, and collaborating with different kinds of projects. He has worked with artists from "The Voice Latino" producing music for them. As a mixing engineer, he recently had his work featured on a popular Netflix show. As an artist, he worked with PEPSI soda for their 2015 Marketing campaign. He has also performed at international festivals with his band, "Man de Barro".
Employing different methods and techniques for guitar lessons, Jose teaches with high energy and patience during the lesson. He understands his students' goals and he knows what they need to achieve them. He has specific ways and methodologies for each student.
Jose also teaches guitar, electric bass, ukulele, and singing lessons. He is proficient in a wide range of musical genres, with extensive experience in acoustic and electric guitar skills.
