About Jonathan Blevins
Ever since Jon can remember he's always enjoyed music. It touches his heart, shapes him, and makes him who he is today.
Jonathan Blevins has been a musician for over 25 years playing piano and trumpet. He has recently finished his degree at Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Arts in music for piano performance. He studied with many different teachers giving him many different ideas on how to learn; Karen Waddell, Rennee Glaubitz, Susan Sigmon Professor of Piano at Georgia Perimeter College, and most recently Professor David Watkins (Adjunct Professor Emeritus of Piano).
Growing up he played in various concert bands and orchestras. Jon's a member of Georgia Music Educators Association and has participated in the Music Educator's National Conference located every year in Savannah GA. He's also participated in Cobb County Music Teachers Association during his tenure in school.
Jon has played in numerous local christian bands such as "Less is More" and "Crooked Smile", also was member of Life Church's praise and worship band as a keyboardist. He currently performs in a professional local cover band (Flux Capacitor). Because of his familiarity with rock/pop music he loves to share and incorporate it into his lessons.
Jon's philosophy is it is never to late to learn and to never stop continuing your education. It has been his dream to share his knowledge of his musical technique and ability to others.
