About Jeannine Webb

Jeannine "Jeannie" Webb is a voice, piano, and violin instructor in the D.C. area. She earned her B.S. in Music at Towson University, where she primarily studied voice with Dr. Theresa Bickham, Dr. Phillip Collister, and Leah Inger. Jeannie began her musical training at the age of 5, sitting at the piano bench with her dad. At age 7, she picked up the violin and a few years later, she started auditioning for choral festivals, musical theatre shows, and church choirs where she began to cultivate a lifelong love of music.

Throughout her career as a professional musician, Jeannie has been privileged to experience enriching opportunities, such as performing with the NAfME All-Eastern Treble Choir in Providence, RI, presenting Fauré's Requiem with the York County Senior Honors Choir at La Madeleine in Paris, France, and playing with the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra in Bel Air, MD as a violinist. She was selected as the 1st place winner in the MD/DC Region Chapter of NATS; she was also chosen as a semi-finalist at the Classical Singer Convention in Chicago, IL. One of her passions is sacred & liturgical music: she is currently a student of organ. Her all-time favorite piece of music is Morten Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna". Jeannie is active throughout the region as a classically trained soprano soloist.

Jeannie is passionate about teaching music to students of all ages and walks of life. As an educator, she believes in crafting lesson plans which are tailored to each individual's needs as they grow & thrive. She uses positivity and warmth to create an atmosphere that inspires and encourages musicians to be all that they can be. Music should be fun! Well-versed in many types of music, she can teach a wide range of styles--from classical to Broadway show-tunes. Her specialties are young beginners in piano, as she has years of experience teaching children as young as four years old, as well as intermediate and advanced violin and voice. Jeannie is currently pursuing her M.M. in Vocal Chamber Music at the University of Redlands under the direction of Christopher Gabbitas (The King's Singers). In her free time, she enjoys kayaking & hiking with her beagle, Robin.

Music is a marvelous way to connect to the heartbeat of our world - and what a privilege to share in this magic with others. Let's rock n' roll together!
