About Jake Cohan
Jake Cohan is a talented multi-instrumentalist performing and teaching out of Atlanta Georgia. Growing up in a musical home he picked up his dad's guitar in his teenage years and has yet to look back.
With over 10 years of professional performance under his belt, his passion for all things musical continues to grow and evolve. Guitar and mandolin are his instruments of choice, be it as a solo performance or a show with his current acoustic sextet, "Sailing to Denver."
While studying at the University of Georgia Jake worked his way into the Athens rock music scene. Since then his focus has shifted acoustic genres of music. With a strong background in folk, bluegrass, and rock, he is expanding his playing styles to incorporate classical, jazz, and beyond. Some traits he brings to instruction are: passion, patience, experience and understanding. These tools make lessons with Jake valuable to each and every student, independent of age or previous playing experience.
