About Helen Whitehorn
Helen Whitehorn is a passionate music teacher, working with students of all ages for over 25 years.
At an early age, Helen began performing on stage playing drums in her father's jazz band. By the age of 12 she began formal classical piano lessons throughout middle and high school, earning distinctions in the Grades 4 through 8 piano examinations from the Royal School of Music, London, England. Throughout college, she studied music history among others and earned her degree in arts and general studies.
Helen's music program focuses on creating well-rounded musicians who are excited to learn and share their musical skills with family & friends. She has exhibited the patience to work with students of varying abilities and skill levels, always seeking creative ways to enhance their musical journeys. Throughout the years, her students have been recognized with distinction and several have continued to pursue music careers.
