About Hannah Perdisci

Hannah Perdisci spent her childhood in Albany, Georgia. She began taking piano lessons with a family friend at the age of nine, and soon developed a special love for music which would continue to grow over the years. Six years later, when she and her family moved to the Atlanta area, she enjoyed taking advantage of the new musical opportunities available to her. During her high school years she participated in many recitals and competitions, and took first place in two local scholarship competitions. In school, she participated in chorus, and did some accompanying for theatre auditions and the school orchestra.

After graduating from high school in 2004, Hannah entered Shorter College as a piano major with music and academic scholarships. While at Shorter, she additionally received a scholarship from The Atlanta Steinway Society, and an award for placing first in a school sponsored performance competition. In the fall of 2006 after completing some pedagogy courses, Hannah decided to expand her horizons by teaching piano lessons. Over the two years that followed, she worked as a piano teacher through the Shorter College Preparatory Department. Hannah also spent a summer teaching piano at a fine arts camp for girls in Lenox, Massachusetts called Belvoir Terrace. Through these experiences, Hannah developed a deep love for teaching. Now that she has graduated from college, she looks forward to meeting new students and helping them to reach their potential as musicians.
