About Faith Davis
Originally from Charleston, SC, Faith Davis first began playing guitar at the age of 12. With a guitar instructor from a local college, she was trained in classical technique and eventually began venturing into the contemporary styles of artists such as The Beatles and Tracy Chapman. This sparked her passion for songwriting.
Through high school she studied violin and graduated first chair. She also took on her first students working with a non-profit student mentoring group. Faith fell in love with teaching others her knowledge. Studying, teaching and performing original compositions at local arts festivals as well as participating in quartets for weddings, Faith surrounded herself with music.
Faith finds creativity in music lessons to be one of the most important aspects of learning. Being a music student as a child, she noticed that keeping lessons interesting was an influential factor in keeping her dedicated to learning. Faith is very patient and understanding with her students, allowing them to define there own musical journey. She enjoys using music education games, incorporating classical technique into a creative contemporary lesson plan.
Faith believes that every student learns in their own way. She loves the diversity of music and encourages students to explore all paths. With her guidance, Faith creates a world of expression with performance and composition.
Everyone has a story. Uniquely, their own. Music is an effortless way to tell it.
