About Erica Fiala
Erica Fiala, soprano, is completing her Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Houston Moores School of Music where she studies with Dr. Dominique McCormick.
Her collegiate career began at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she studied under Brian Downen. There, she was a part of the Concert Chorale, and Chamber Singers. She also participated in a volunteer children's choir for two years where she taught kids ages 6-11. After moving back to Southeast Texas where she was raised, she transferred to the University of Houston.
Erica started singing when she was only 5 or 6 years old. She joined choir in 5th grade , and has participated in choirs since, including the All State Mixed Choir in 2017, and the Concert Chorales at both the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Houston.
Her passion for music is not limited to classical music. She enjoys, classical, jazz, music theater, worship, pop, and rock music. Erica believes that all students deserve access to a quality music education, and plans to teach choir in the public school system after graduation as well as continuing to teach private lessons in voice and piano.
