About Emily Waldman

Emily began playing the violin at the age of three and performed twice in Carnegie Hall by the age of eighteen. She was a member of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra for nine years and has toured England, Italy, France, and Spain with the organization.

Emily's playing has been recognized throughout the region. She was a member of the Colorado All State Orchestra and participated in the Western States Honor Orchestra Festival for three years. She also earned the position of concertmaster of the Colorado All State Orchestra in 2015.

Emily is currently in her third year as a violin performance major at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver and performs regularly throughout the Denver area. At Lamont, Emily is enrolled in the Suzuki Violin Pedagogy Program and is certified to teach the Suzuki Method for Suzuki books 1, 2 and 3.

In addition to her undergraduate studies in classical music, Emily teaches orchestra at Fox Hollow Elementary School in the Cherry Creek School District and performs tango music with the Orquesta Tipica Natural at the Mercury Cafe.
