About Emiliano Saumell

Emiliano J. Saumell is a South Florida based trombonist and educator. He received his Associates in Art at Miami Dade College under the tutelage of Dr. David Brubeck. During his time there he performed regularly on tenor trombone, bass trombone, and tuba. He is versatile in a many musical genres and has performed in brass quintets, wind band, and symphony orchestra

While pursuing his Bachelor of Music at the University of Central Florida, Emiliano was a member of Dr. Luis Fred studio. During his time at UCF he has; taken instruction from former Vienna Philharmonic's principal trombonist Peter Steiner, participated in master classes with the American Trombone Quartet and Navy Band trombonist Cesar Pimentel, and performed regularly with the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Pegasus Brass Quintet, and Trombone Choir.

Mr. Saumell has been teaching Piano, Trombone, Trumpet. Euphonium and French Horn for most of his teen and adult life, beginning in the 9th grade where he mentored students at a local middle school. By the age of 17 he led his first group, a brass quintet that received superior rating at both district and state level.

Beside his love for classical music, Emiliano enjoys performing in both jazz ensembles for his school and salsa orchestras at local clubs.
