About Doug Ponier
As a music teacher of over 30 years, Doug truly believes in the power that music can bring to students. The dedication and life skills that Doug has learned as a multi-instrumentalist, taking the time to learn drums, percussion, piano, guitar and ukulele, he has developed into a well rounded musician who enjoys practicing daily and finding an escape to the stress of life. He delivers this same skill to each of his students by sharing the joy of making their music in ways that give delight and fun to the students and whomever is fortunate enough to be in the presence of one his happy music students.
Doug has had the pleasure of playing with Phil Collins at the 2000 Superbowl Halftime show, Rock and Roll all Night and Party Everyday with Paul Stanley and Bruce Kulick from KISS and backing up "Mr. 335" Larry Carlton of Steely Dan. These performances has prepared Doug to teach students many live performance techniques and assist the students who wish to become musicians learn the musical skills needed to perform professionally.
