About Diane Riccobene
Diane Riccobene is a multi-instrumental instructor in the Washington, D.C. area who teaches drums, percussion, guitar, ukulele and bass guitar. She has dedicated her life to music and is passionate about helping students find their musical voice.
As a young child, Diane could be found drumming with pots and pans on any given day. At age 8, she received her first drum set. Diane added guitar to her repertoire at age 13, and continued her study of both instruments throughout childhood. At the encouragement of her father, a fellow musician, she went on to make music her career.
Diane holds a bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She has also served in the military as a percussionist, and has performed twice at the White House. Diane quotes Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd and The U.S. Army Field Band among her top influences.
With over 20 years of experience giving in-home lessons, Diane enjoys teaching students aged 10 through adult. She strives to make learning fun so that her students will not only enjoy the process, but also the results. Understanding that each student possesses unique goals and talents, Diane utilizes a variety of teaching methods and modifies her approach accordingly. No dream is too big or too small, and she loves to help her students unlock their potential.
