About Daniela Gavarrete
Daniela began learning music at the age of 7 when she got her first keyboard and later her first guitar. After a couple years of lessons she joined the band program in middle school, and quickly discovered her passion for drums and percussion. In high school she was the drum captain and section leader of the drumline, and competed in the Texas Color Guard Circuit percussion competition playing 4-mallet vibraphone with her ensemble. She started learning drum set at the same time, and began to play with friends.
Daniela graduated from Texas State University, and throughout her college career she was involved playing drums, collaborating with other artists, and giving private lessons. She has taught and been a drum tech at Stafford Intermediate, Stafford Middle School and Stafford High School. She currently plays drums and percussion for the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, and the Sugar Land Winds.
