About Chloe Schaaf
Mezzo soprano Chloë Schaaf is a New York City native who recently relocated to Houston. She holds her undergraduate degree in vocal performance from The Juilliard School and masters of music degrees from both The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Bard College Conservatory of Music. Chloë has performed extensively as an opera and concert soloist throughout America, Europe, and China and has sung for many years with professional choirs in New York City.
Along side her performing career, Chloë is a dedicated and passionate music teacher. Before relocating to Houston, she was a staff voice instructor at Yale University as well as a voice faculty member at Bard College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division. She also teaches virtually through the lessons platform Virtu.Academy, where her students range from four to seventy four. Chloë believes that studying a musical instrument is empowering and opens a door to another world for students of all ages. As a professional singer, Chloë is deeply passionate about sharing her love for vocal music and as the child of two professional pianists, she is equally dedicated to introducing students to the piano. Studying music is a highly individualized pursuit and Chloë loves building strong relationships with students and families to help each student find their own musical path.
