From bluegrass Hopper family to Honor Band, Choir, and Orchestra, Charlotte has a broad-range of musical heritage and experience. Charlotte played bass guitar and sang with her famous fiddling sister Jana Jae and backed up Jana and Buck Owens with her band. Combining country, rock, and pop, she had several touring bands in the Pacific Northwest, including Touchtone and Black's Creek. She then moved to Seattle in '89 and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration(minor in Marketing) and Bachelor of Arts(minor in Music) from University of Washington('93). She played with rock band Alchemy Rox(formerly 2000 Light Years From Home) and Army Boot Ballet.
Composer writing for Studio 51 out of Chicago, she loves songwriting, singing, and playing her top instruments: piano, guitar, bass guitar, violin, flute, mandolin, and percussion. Classical, country, rock, pop, jazz are favorite genres. Playing live for special events is a passion, as well as teaching students who want to learn about the ever-exciting world of music!
