About Charlie Tellez
Charlie began his musical journey at the age of 11 when he joined his middle school band and orchestra as a tuba player. Charlie was then accepted into The High School for Performing and Visual Arts where he not only played Tuba and Baritone, but he also focused on Music Theory and Piano. During his time at HSPVA, he participated in any opportunity he had to perform classical and wind ensemble music.
To further his musical studies, he attended Stephen F. Austin State University and majored in Sound Recording Technology. Throughout his collegiate studies, he learned Audio Engineering and Music Production and began focusing on other genres of music such as Soul, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Singer-Songwriter, and Folk.
After graduating, Charlie became part of an R&B, Jazz, and Hip-Hop musical collective called The Heartbreak Club where he is a Keyboardist, Music Producer, and Audio Engineer. He enjoys sharing his love for music with piano students of all ages and abilities!
