About Ben Ray
Benjamin Ray, trombonist and brass pedagogue, received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University in 2010. An active section coach, he currently works with Lost Mountain and Palmer Middle Schools, as well as Kell High School.
Formerly, Benjamin worked as the Assistant Band Director at South Cobb High School, and has experience teaching full band with Daniel and East Cobb Middle Schools as well. His marching band experience includes 5 seasons with the Harrison High School Marching Band and three years with the South Cobb Marching Eagles.
An active performer, Ben is currently an active member of the Etowah Jazz Society and the Burnt Hickory Orchestra. In the past, he performed with the Kennesaw State University Wind and Jazz Ensembles, as well as the KSU Opera, Pep Band, Concert Band, Brass Ensemble, and Trombone Ensemble.
A native of Cobb County, Ben is a graduate of Harrison High School, Lost Mountain Middle School, and began his career in music at Ford Elementary studying music theory and chorus.
