About Austin Bourdon
Austin has been teaching guitar lessons since 2010 to learners of all skill levels, and has been playing both electric and acoustic guitar for 15 years. After falling in love with the electric guitar at age 11 and teaching himself, he joined local rock and metal bands; some of this music made its way to record labels and was produced by reputable names within the genre. After high school, Austin decided to study Guitar and Education at North Park University in Chicago. In college, Austin began playing professionally around the Chicago area, and was the music director for a church for 4 years while still maintaining guitar lessons for his students. Other musical ventures during this time include playing at wedding ceremonies and receptions, recording with a band, and performing at venues around Chicago. Currently, Austin is a middle school teacher in Denver and offers both electric and acoustic guitar lessons to students of all levels. Whether it's leading a middle school choir with a guitar or teaching private lessons, Austin is motivated to share his love for music and to inspire his students to grow their skill and musicality.
