About Andi Ridings
Andi Ridings is a violinist and cellist originally from Saint Louis, MO. Ever since she can remember, Andi has had music coursing through her body and couldn't resist singing and dancing to just about any type of music when she was growing up. She started playing the violin at age 10 through her elementary school program and has been pursuing music ever since.
Through her life, Andi has participated in various orchestras. She was concertmaster of her high school orchestra, as well as concertmaster and principal second violin of her college symphony, chamber orchestra and opera orchestra. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and has won numerous contests, as well as performed as a soloist after winning the Concerto and Aria Competition with the Southeast Symphony Orchestra in 2014. She has also traveled and performed with ensembles in New York, Chicago, Saint Louis, as well as several venues in Italy.
Since graduating with her degree in 2016, she has been pursuing a career teaching music to people of all ages, as well as freelancing as a musician for weddings, parties, and banquets. She can arrange just about any song you can think of for any arrangement, and in her free time writes her own music. She enjoys sharing the gift of music with her students and encouraging them to get creative at any chance!
