About Amanda Morin

Amanda Morin discovered her passion for music at a young age. She began writing songs on the guitar and performing at age seven, and music has been the most important part of her life ever since then. She has taken a decade of guitar lessons and several years of vocal lessons, and is a self-taught pianist and bassist. Beginning as a singer/songwriter and writing mostly pop and rock music, she was later inspired by instrumental music and virtuoso guitarists like Tosin Abasi, Guthrie Govan, and Yvette Young. She began learning and taking inspiration from the best of jazz and classical music. She wants to learn from every genre and time period of music, and hopes to share that excitement with her students. Because of how deeply music has impacted her life, she wants to help others find their love of music as well. She started teaching private lessons several years ago, and believes that every student is unique, talented, and exceptional in their own way.

Amanda is passionate about all forms of art, and in addition to music, enjoys painting and writing. She has started a side project painting artwork on guitars, including her own, so that instruments can be as rare and special as the musicians playing them.

Amanda is currently pursuing a degree in music business at University of Colorado Denver and working on her own music. She is writing her debut instrumental EP, which will include steel string acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano.
