About Alexandra Wilson

Alexandra Wilson is a private violin teacher who grew up in Canton, Georgia. Passionate about music from a very young age, Alex started playing violin at the age of 6 through the Suzuki Method. Over time, Alex has had the privilege of working with renowned teachers such as Daniel Arshavsky, Nassar Edwards, and Kenn Wagner. She also has a wide array of experience performing in the community; including participation in her schools' orchestra programs and chamber ensembles, the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, District Honor Orchestra, as well as volunteering at local Hospice care centers.

After graduating high school as one of the top string players in her class, Alex began pursuing music as her life's career. Currently, she is getting her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at Kennesaw State University. She also performs with Kennesaw State's Symphony Orchestra, under conductor Dr. Nathaniel Parker. Alexandra is very involved in her school's music community, volunteering for school events and fundraisers as well as being the Symphony Orchestra's Ensemble Assistant. She has also had the privilege to attend masterclasses with Helen Kim, Harrison Cook, and David Coucheron.

As an educator, it is Alex's goal to inspire others to gain confidence and seek self-discovery through music. Heavily invested in the growth and success of her students, Alex aims to give them all the tools and experiences they need to succeed in music and in life. There are multiple pedagogical methods Alexandra has studied that she incorporates in her private lessons, including the Suzuki Method and the Bornoff Method. These resources reinforce everything her students learn and prepares them for future musical endeavors.
