About Alexandra Coulter

Alexandra Coulter is a cellist, teacher, and studio-recording artist in Denver, Colorado. She has played in the Lamont Symphony Orchestra, Arapahoe Philharmonic, and the Littleton Symphony Orchestra. Her primary teachers were Jurgen de Lemos and Matthew Zalkind.


As a studio cellist, Alexandra composes and records Commercial Music with Neil Zimmerman of TTFFO Studios. The music is both commissioned and freely submitted to Studio 51 Music and Alpine Music Connection. These original recordings are used in both film and T.V. She is a cellist for other studios, writing both single line cello p arts and multi-line cello quartets for artist's albums and EPs. Alexandra is an ASCAP member and well-versed in the application and establishment of music synchronization licenses and royalty disbursement.


As both a classical and alternative style cellist, Alexandra enjoys solo playing and chamber music. She often plays traditional and avant-garde weddings, in addition to church services and masses. She substitutes regularly in numerous rock groups, playing venues such as the Bluebird, Marquis, and Ogden theaters.


With several years of teaching experience, Alexandra teaches students of all ages. She is focused on community outreach and believes in the power and necessity of music education, frequently volunteering at local public schools, offering clinics and sectionals.
