Music in the Home

Having music in your home is a special experience. Did you grow up with background music during dinner dishes? I did, and although I might not have realized it then, it really enriched my life. “Nola” is one of those songs that my sister was practicing with her in home piano lessons that comes to mind when I think back to that time in life. Of course “Fur Elise” is always on the list. It wasn’t a bunch of TV noise we had in our house, it was go piano music and other instruments. Singing many time accompanying the tune. Later in Life

Now  that time has passed and I’m looking back on those memories, I realize my sister and I both have used, in a significant way, those in home  beginner piano lessons for kids that we had. My teacher has a full time roster of students, and I enjoy very much the students I give in home lessons to. It is a great way to supplement income and such a great flexible thing to add to life. You can do as much or as little as you want. If my sister and I hadn’t stuck to our piano lessons in our home, we wouldn’t have the careers we have today. Whatever you might be thinking will be the future for your music life, keep at it! The lessons are worth it, even if you aren’t performing on a huge stage, there are so many different opportunities to use what you have learned.

How to Practice for In Home Piano Lessons

When you set aside a time to practice you will experience the most success. Setting a timer can even be a fun way to see that practice time happens. Listen for the songs and see if some stick in your head for the day, or even two! When piano lessons happen in the home, you are more aware of what the teacher has said, so you will be more likely to be a help to your student, and know where the lessons are going. This allows you to have some feedback and encouragement for you student when they need it. Let’s face it, we all need a nudge sometimes. When you in home piano lessonshave a goal for practice time, you are much more likely to achieve it. Aim at nothing and you’ll hit it everytime. Set goals, and you are much more likely to succeed. The in home piano lessons will take on a whole new level when the practice time is part of your weekly routine. Practicing the same piece several times can also be of benefit. Start at the end of a piece, then in the middle, then at the beginning. Giving some change up to the practice routine can help things go more quickly also!

The piano is such a versatile instrument which attributes to much of its popularity. The piano is seen on pretty much every concert stage; from jazz to classical to rock and roll. You name it. While guitars are up front for certain songs, the piano has a steady presence that can’t be denied. The piano is an excellent choice for those starting out in music. You learn the basics of theory, note reading, time signature, musical terms etc. when you are taking piano lessons. This lends to a greater expansion of other instruments later on. The piano is just one of those great things you can’t go wrong with!
