About Madeline Scott

Soprano Madeline Scott is receiving her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance from Kennesaw State University's School of Music where she studies with world renowned teacher Dr. Oral Moses. She also holds the position of Musical Librarian and has thorough knowledge of common and rare vocal literature from early renaissance to contemporary music. Throughout her musical studies and career she has performed leading roles in many professional and local opera and musical theatre productions including Sondheim's 'Into the Woods', Menotti's 'Old Maid and the Theif', Tesori's 'Throroughly Modern Millie', Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Iolanthe'; as well as selections from Rossini's 'Donna del Lago', Mozart's 'The Magic Flute', and Schwart's 'Wicked'. In addition to various solo and chamber music recitals, Madeline has also been a featured soloist in Mozart's 'Vesperae solennes de confessore'and Faure's Requiem Mass in D Minor. She is a frequent soloist at various churches around the metro Atlanta area. In addition to music, Madeline also has extensive training in performance, vocal pedagogy, and theatre studies. Her avid love of music and performance is easily translated into teaching and sharing this gift with others. She has worked with young children as well as adults. Her teaching style is classical with strong understanding and theory and technique while molding each lesson to fit the needs and personality of each student.
