About Luis Hernandez
Luis Hernandez is a D.C. Area based Guitar Instructor who works with students of all ages and levels and enjoys sharing his life-long passion for music with his students.
Luis was four years old when he heard the Beatles on the radio and from there became passionate about music. It was later in his teens that he picked up the guitar to learn Beatles tunes and play rock and roll. Realizing he wanted to learn the instrument he began taking lessons and has been playing ever since. From playing the blues to classical, hard rock and light acoustic keeps an open mind to all genres of music. Luis went on to earn his degree at NoVA Community College.
For over fifteen years, Luis has enjoyed maintaining a studio of private Guitar students and seeing them grow over time. He believes that music is the true universal language that can bring a sense of fulfillment and enjoyment.
Due to his unending passion for the arts, Luis also enjoys other creative pursuits like photography and training in Mixed Martial Arts. He holds a Black Belt in Jeet Kune Do and Tae Kwon Do.
