About Justin Carter
Justin Carter lives by the maxim: "Music is the best!" Since picking up the guitar at age 13, his musical journey has brought him endless joy, discovery, and wonder. To participate in this magical world of music is to share it with others! That is why he has dedicated his life to writing, performing, recording, and teaching music to people of all ages and backgrounds--from young children learning piano for the very first time, to teenagers strumming out the chords to their favorite songs, to retirees finally hunkering down to learn the banjo. Justin has over 15 years of experience playing music, and has studied and taught various genres, from jazz to pop, classical to The Beatles. He believes that there is something worthwhile to be found in every style of music.
Justin's primary instrument is the guitar, which he has played for almost twenty years. He studied jazz guitar at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2008 to 2012, and is also currently enrolled at CU Boulder in the Music Composition program. Piano serves as his second most primary instrument, and serves as a wonderful composition tool. He has experience teaching bass, voice, and drumkit at various levels, and has even taught ukulele lessons. He can also teach you about songwriting, recording technologies, and music theory.
