About Harrison Hedriana
Harrison Hedriana is passionate musician and teacher who is always excited to expand the musical horizons of himself and his students. A recent BA graduate from the music department at California State University, Chico, Harrison has dedicated his life to pursuing music and sharing his knowledge with others. Throughout university, he helped lead string ensemble classes as a substitute teacher and director, taught private lessons for guitar and violin, led study groups for various music classes, and mentored and tutored students in music theory and audio recording. Outside of the school, he performed with various classical, baroque, jazz, motown, funk, and punk ensembles all around California. Harrison has been studying violin for 17 years under the mentorship of Juilliard graduate, Sue Macdonald. Additionally, he has studied guitar for 10 years with various teachers ranging from contemporary to classical.
Teaching has always been the most rewarding aspect of music for Harrison. He believes in igniting an inspiration in students that will drive them to learn even more when his lessons are over. Having taught many aspects of music from instruments to theory to recording, he has seen that music lessons are about more than just learning to play, but also about gaining an appreciation and understanding of the music that is being played. He has found immense fulfilment teaching all ages and levels and is excited to share his knowledge with anyone that asks.
Outside of the "classroom," Harrison enjoys rock climbing, model building, and taking care of his pet iguana and hedgehog.
