About Emmanuel Trifilio

Emmanuel Trifilio is a guitarist, pianist, and composer originally from Argentina. He came to the US in 2009 to perform at the GALA Hispanic Theater in Washington D.C. and has since been performing, composing, and teaching based out of Washington D.C.

He started studying the guitar at the age of 5, adding piano at age 15. Studying at the Escuela de Arte in Buenos Aires, Argentina for college, he chose to focus on his piano studies because of his love of composition. There, he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.

Emmanuel is passionate about pop, Brazilian, and classical music. This wide range of genres has been present in his career. He is the founder and director of The New Trifilio Tango Trio and plays in QuinTango as one of the ensemble's resident composer-arrangers. He has released three albums that featured his original compositions.

Since moving to the US he has given performances as a soloist with the Octavio Brunetti Orchestra, Choral Arts Society of Washington, National Philharmonic Orchestra, and Pan-American Symphony. He has notably appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night's Swing. On top of that, he has continued to give concerts in orchestras in Miami and Havana.

Building confidence is one of the aspects of lessons that Emmanuel likes to emphasize with his Piano, Guitar, and Composition students, as confidence is a characteristic all students can carry through life. Emmanuel also focuses on exploring creativity through music in his teaching to help the students grow in their artistry.
