About Arthur Bruce Balensiefer
Bruce has been playing and producing music for fifteen years. He plays bass and guitar, and synthesizers/electronic instruments. He teaches guitar and bass with Lessons In Your Home.
A graduate of the renowned University of Miami Frost School of Music, he received formal education in Jazz performance, arranging, audio engineering, mixing, production, and computer science. At Miami he learned the love of orchestrating a production and the reward of a great collaboration. He also expanded his musical palette into hip-hop, fusion, R&B, metal, and electronic styles. Bruce has lived in Seattle since 2007 working day jobs in media software making music independently, releasing self-produced tracks to digital stores and providing beats, music, and remixes for other artists. He started playing guitar as well to satisfy these production needs. He is currently specializing in highly dynamic music and getting big, expressive synthesizer tones out of traditional guitars and basses using effects.
Bruce has had many great teachers through the years who kept him engaged and made the technical stuff fun. He hopes to do the same for now for his students and share the joy of creation with a new generation. Bruce is most comfortable teaching in the areas of Jazz, Rock of all eras, Metal, R&B, and Funk.
