About Alexis Kaufman
Originally from San Diego California, Alexis Kaufman is an active music teacher and performer in Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University-Fullerton under Jean Ferrandis and a Master of Music degree from the University of Houston under Aralee Dorough. During her tenure, she has performed in Master Classes with Leone Buyse, Marianne Gedigian, Carol Wincenc, Nicolas Duchamp, and Christina Jennings. As one of her early achievements, Alexis was invited to play with the San Diego Symphony during a performance of "The Pied Piper Fantasy," by John Corigliano. Alexis has performed bith nationally and internationally, most notably in Europe on a tour of The United Kingdom and France, and in China on a tour of Beijing and Shanghai.
Alexis has enjoyed teaching privately and through the public school system throughout her years in school and post-graduate. She prioritizes making music fun and relatable to her students of all ages and abilities.
